New Street Authors is a collective of independent, self-publishing writers based in and around Birmingham, England.

Launched in 2015 by founder members Andy Conway and David Wake, New Street Authors quickly established itself as major player in the West Midlands independent publishing scene, providing readings and workshops at Tamworth LitFest, Wolverhampton Literature Festival, Bristol Festival of Literature and Stourbridge LitFest, as well as regular reading events and launches in Birmingham.

New Street Authors also hosts a regular series of independent publishing workshops and masterclasses, including the Indie Publishing Knowledge Summit.

Its members publish across a wide range of markets, including literary fiction, science fiction, crime, fantasy, historical and children’s, in a range of formats: novels, short stories, poetry, non-fiction and graphic novels.

2018 saw the launch of NEW STREET STORIES, an anthology of members’ short stories and poems on the theme of Birmingham’s main street.
