Defenders of the Earth, Dawn Abigail, Jon Hartless and David Wake, were recently deployed to investigate a potential alien threat.
Fortunately, the gathering of Oculoids, werewolves and Sontarans proved not to be a collective invasion but the annual Burton Sci Fi and Fantasy convention.
Hosted by the Burton upon Trent Library on the 14th May, the event provided an excellent opportunity for authors and fans in the Midlands to meet, chat and share their love of all things Science Fiction and Fantasy.
“It’s great just to talk about writing informally,” said Dawn Abigail. “I’m hoping some attendees will even be inspired to get writing themselves”.
New Street Authors will be hosting their own event in autumn, to highlight the output of members during the pandemic. Watch this space for further details.
